Trabajar en La Escuela de Lancaster

La Escuela de Lancaster es una escuela bicultural, inclusiva, sin fines de lucro, con una filosofía educativa progresiva y firmemente comprometida tanto con el sistema educativo mexicano, como el internacional. Nuestro proyecto educativo tiene al centro de su filosofía y práctica, el apoyo a los estudiantes en su descubrimiento personal sobre lo que son y lo que quieren ser, por lo que damos la bienvenida a la diversidad en todas sus formas y presentaciones, aceptando siempre en comunidad la complejidad que esto implica. 

Actualmente estamos buscando maestros apasionados, entusiastas y atentos para cubrir las siguientes vacantes a partir de agosto del 2020:

  • Maestra/o de primaria (para enseñar en inglés de tiempo completo)
  • Maestro/a de matemáticas para secundaria y bachillerato (vacantes de tiempo parcial y tiempo completo)
  • Maestro/a de física para secundaria y bachillerato (tiempo completo)
  • Maestra/o de D&T (Diseño y Tecnología) para secundaria y bachillerato (tiempo completo)

Se quedarán con las plazas quienes aborden de manera creativa la enseñanza del plan de estudios, quienes estén comprometidos en crear un ambiente escolar donde los niños puedan florecer, y a quienes les entusiasme la oportunidad de colaborar en un ambiente laboral informal y amigable junto con colegas mexicanos y extranjeros. 

La Escuela de Lancaster ofrece, entre otras cosas:

  • Grupos pequeños (máximo 25 alumnos por grupo).
  • Horas diarias fuera del salón de clases para planear clases y calificar trabajos.

Primary PYP Classroom Teachers (full-time) – starting August 2020

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and passionate primary teachers who have a genuine commitment to the education of the whole child. The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. While PYP or IPC experience is an advantage it is more important that you have a creative approach to turning curriculum into learning, are committed to creating a classroom ethos where children flourish and are excited by the opportunity to work in an informal and friendly atmosphere alongside a mix of foreign and Mexican colleagues.

We currently have vacancies for primary teachers teaching in English.  Successful candidates will have English language skills equivalent to a native language speaker.

Primary Librarian (full-time) starting August 2020

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and passionate teacher-librarian who wants the opportunity to develop our bilingual primary library as a hub both for reading and inquiry.  The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of two years’ experience. While PYP or IPC experience is an advantage, what is more important is that the successful candidate is committed to working collaboratively with classroom teachers to ensure that as a resource centre the library is integral to research and learning, while also promoting reading for all our students.

Successful candidates will have sufficient lanugage skills in English and Spanish to promote bilingual language development.
