Juan Pablo Fernandes and Carlos Munoz in form 4 have been chosen to represent Mexico on the Cape Farewell expedition to the Arctic. The competition for the 2 places was extremely close and all of the Lancaster Ground Team produced excellent presentations in a video that was sent to the organisers in Canada. During September Juan Pablo and Carlos will travel for training in Canada and will then fly to Iceland to begin the journey via boat to Baffin Island. Meanwhile the remaining members of the Ground Team will link up with them both as well as the media in order to publicise climate change and the effect upon the Arctic. The process to select the 2 students began during April and it has been a long process for students but the work is not over yet!
