Academic Fair 2011-2012

Last Tuesday, November 29th, the Primary Academic Fair took place at the Rey Yupanqui site. Students were very excited to share the things they had learned after weeks of enthusiastic but hard research.

Students also worked hard to understand concepts like interdependence, extinction, evolution, impact, pattern, and behavior, amongst others within the transdisciplinary themes: Where we are in place and time, Sharing the planet, How we organise ourselves and Who we are.

They demonstrated that they are developing the community IB profile by showing different skills, attitudes and actions, like the fund-raising that second graders decided to do to protect the Mexican wolf after they learned about endangered animals and the concept “extinction”.

Parents, pre-school students and the rest of the community enjoyed and learned a lot from primary students.

ˇ We are so proud of them!!!

We congratulate and thank their teachers for such a great job, as well as people from the community who helped to enrich our students with their knowledge and experience on the academic fair topics!!
