The whole of Grade 5
collaborated with each other and both Sam and Silvia to prepare an assembly
relating to their Unit of Inquiry on Migration. Small groups researched a tribe
from North America finding out about their clothes, food, houses, festivals and
traditions. The students provided a detailed insight into the culture and
history of a range of peoples from across North America including Inuit, Apache
and Comanche. Students created group presentations to enable them to clearly
share their knowledge with both students and parents who attended the assembly.
They made costumes, props and models as well as writing their own scripts.
It was a wonderful end
to their time in Primary and an excellent demonstration of the skills they have
acquired during their time here at RY. Good luck to all of 5th Grade,
keep up the hard work. |
