Kinder 3 Yellow Teacher

Karina

This is my third year as a teacher.  The two years before I worked teaching Kinder II and Kinder III.  This is my first year at Lancaster and I will be teaching Kinder I.  All my family has been part of this community, so I am very proud to be too.  I love working with small kids because they are a great challenge, a lot of fun and a lot of love.  I am looking forward to be part of this school for a long time.

I am an alumni of this school and I’ve been working here for 8 years. I really like the school’s philosophy and I enjoy giving classes. Children are fun to be with.  I have seen many changes the school has gone through and I can say that it is a wonderful and fun school to be at.

What we have been learning:

PYP.  We  will be learning about “Water, Water Everywhere”. Children will learn about  different states of water and the water cycle. Where and how water is born and how to care for it in a proper way. How important is water for living.

Language: We will start working with our dictionary and see the usefulness of a dictionary. We will continue with the blending process to be on the right track to reading.

Writing: We will still concentrate on  writing letter properly (practicing at home would be of great help. We will start with creative writing.

Math:  We will work with numbers 1 to  20 and continue with addition.  We will consolidate counting in 2´s and 10´s.  We will start introducing reading time. Children should then be able to count up to 50 without skipping any numbers.
