I have been teaching at preschool for 6 years and it has been an extraordinary experience. Working with kids of these age is always a challenge but it pays you whit a great amount of love and care. I truly believe that the best way of learning is through playing,movement, music, arts, games in a caring enviroment ensures kid´s understanding of the world they live in.

Hi I’m Beth, an exalumni, a mother and teacher. I love working at the Lancaster, it’s a great place to be at, and especially with the young ones, who every day surprise me with a funny comment, a hug and kisses which make teaching really worth it!

I was born in Mexico City but have also lived in England. I have three children Miriam, Jorge and David. I studied ‘Letras Inglesas’ and I have a nursery nursing degree from England. I have been teaching since I was 20 and I love my work and the children.

 “Para la Unidad de Indagación “Nuestra Escuela”,  veremos;  las rutinas diarias de la escuela. Los medios de transporte por los que los niños llegan a su escuela . Los diferentes tipos de escuelas  que hay en el mundo. Señales importantes que debe haber en una escuela.   Se hará un proyecto final  en donde construirán  su escuela y las personas que laboran en ella.

What we are learning:
 

We are now on our second Unit of Inquiry “What can I do with this?” Our central idea is “We use different materials to express our creativity” in which we will be learning what creativity is and how to use it to solve problems by creating imaginative solutions to them. We will be using a variety of materials to create objects and will also use a wide range of problem solving techniques.
In Maths we will develope our counting skills up to number 10, making mental operations, completing patterns of two and three elements and using colours and shapes.
In Language we will be working with phonetic awareness of letters /a/, /i/, /t/, /c/ and making syllables with them.
