Kinder 1 Blue Teacher Karina Last year I was a Kinder 3 teacher. This is my third year at Lancaster and this year I am going to teach Kinder 1.  All my family has been part of this community, so I am very proud to be too.  I love working with kids because they are a great challenge, a lot of fun and a lot of love.  I am very happy to be part of this school.	Kinder 1 Yellow Teacher Tere My name is María Teresa Ruiz and this is my third year in K1. I love working with this age group. I learn from them in everyday experiences, they are fun to be with. It’s amazing to see the way they mature throughout the school year.	What we are learning: We are working on our unit of inquiry: How we express ourselves. EXPRESS YOURSELF Central Idea: Ideas and feelings can be expressed in many ways. Lines of inquiry: -How do I feel.  How I express my feelings. -What my reaction in different situations is and how I can feel better. - How I can understand my own and others feelings. Maths: -We are working with numbers 1 to 3. -We are identifying them and we are working to achieve their concept knowledge. -We are working with circle and square so we can continue building our shape knowledge.  -We have also been working with long and short! - We will also review blue, red, yellow, and green.  We will be learning orange and pink.   Language -During the month we will be working on unit 4, “Fun with colours”! Children will identify colours, shapes and create colours by mixing! -Vocabulary focus: door, eraser, slide, sandbox, toys, gingerbread man, fish, dog, cat! Español Dentro de la Unidad de Indagación hemos estado trabajando en el reconocimiento de las personas  que integran la familia,  así como el rol que desempeñan en ésta. En matemáticas el uso del conteo en relación con la familia, haciendo énfasis en los primeros tres números y la correspondencia uno a uno. Por lo que respecta a lengua se desarrolla el lenguaje oral, al propiciar momentos en donde los alumnos expresen sus puntos de vista y experiencias previas, estructurando mejor sus ideas y expresarlas en forma fluida. Maestra de Español K1 Nina Soy Miss Nina maestra de español, es mi segundo año en la escuela de Lancaster pero desde hace 9 años  trabajo  con el IB, el cuál ofrece, programas de educación internacional. Al igual que los alumnos  tengo  una actitud activa de aprendizaje para toda la vida.  El  compartir día a día con los alumnos más pequeños de la escuela me hace regresar a mi niñez escondida,   donde siempre  hay  un porqué,  y esa capacidad de asombro que los caracteriza. Me siento  feliz de acompañar y  amar a los pequeños en el inicio de su vida escolar. La escuela de Lancaster es un lugar inteligente.
