                 -          Students will count, compare, recite, order and model numbers.

                 -          They will read and write numbers up to ten and beyond.

                 -          Say rhymes, songs and poems related to numbers.

                 -          Use one-to-one correspondence.

                 -          Explore the conservation of numbers through the use of manipulatives.

 

2.    Adding and Subtracting

            -          Add and take away objects from small sets.

            -          Join two and three sets.

            -          Jump forwards and backwards on a number line.

 

3.    Solving problems

-          Solve and explain real life problems.

-          Select and explain an appropriate method for solving a problem.

 

4.    Shape, Space, Measures and Data handling.

 -          Explore and describe the paths, regions and boundaries of their immediate environment and their position.

-          Sort, describe and compare real objects and three-dimensional shapes according to attributes such as size or shape.

-          Identify, compare and sequence events in their daily routine.
