- Multiply and divide decimals by 10 or 100, and integers by 1000 explaining the effect.
- Count onwards and backwards in steps of 25, 0.2, 0.25, 0.5,...
- Change improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice-versa.
- Factorise numbers to 100 into prime factors.
- Order positive and negative numbers, fractions and mixed decimals.
2. Calculations
- Use number facts and place value to additions and subtractions, mentally.
- Use the relationship between multiplication and division as a mental calculation strategy.
- Use known facts and place value to multiply and divide mentally including decimals.
- Check results doing the inverse calculation.
3. Solving problems
- Solve number puzzles and explain methods and reasoning.
- Investigate number sequences. Develop a generalised relationship in words< express it in a formula using symbols.
- Solve real life problems.
4. Shape, Space, Measures and Data handling
- Convert larger to smaller units of time, length, weigh, capacity, and vice-versa.
- Recognise where a shape be located after reflection in a line not parallel to a side or in two mirrors at 90 degrees.
- Consolidate work on translations and rotations and symmetry.
- Solve a problem by representing, extracting and interpreting data in frequency tables, bar charts and pie charts with grouped discrete data.
