Since I have started teaching at Lancaster, I have found that the experience has been personally rewarding and satisfying. The students at Lancaster make teaching a delight.
Our curriculum is varied; we can use the computers for entertainment, for recording our work, investigating topics on the internet, presenting discoveries in different ways. During Units of Inquiry the computers are heavily used for research and presentations. The students enjoy working with the computer and we are expanding our scope to learn all about new technologies and developments in the high tech field.
It is a great pleasure to teach the children at Lancaster and I look forward to instruct and guide them thru their educational path in the years to come.
One question I always get asked is where I can get reliable information on the internet on a topic for my child. My starting point would these four sites.

En K1 y K2 los niños tienen la oportunidad de utilizar las computadoras en su salón. Ellos tienen una hora de clase a la semana dentro de sus salones, en la que se exploran diferentes programas y juegos. Trabajan con textos, imágenes y sonidos para ayudarlos a compartir sus ideas. A partir de K3 los niños toman las clases en el salón de Computación.
Desde Pre-Primaria a 2° Grado los alumnos utilizan las computadoras para organizar y clasificar información. Ellos ingresan, salvan y recuperan sus trabajos, en los que incluyen textos e imágenes.
De 3° a 5° Grado los alumnos utilizan las computadoras para salvar, organizar y presentar sus trabajos. Comparten e intercambian sus ideas para así ayudarse entre ellos y resolver problemas al realizar la investigación.
